This project was initiated by the Nephrology Service and the Nephrology Society for further education with the theme: Treatment of Patients with Renal Chronic Disease in Hemodialysis.

The treatment of patients at the 5th stage in renal chronic decease is always developing.
The challenge of the medical community stands in the introduction of new concepts in daily clinical practices. Technological and therapeutical developments offer new possibilities and additional financial restrictions constantly push us to ensure high value towards providing care. This educational program has in focus the medical dialysis personnel all over the country to unify the basic concepts and identify the new concepts about providing care in dialysis treatment. It insists in the constant improvement toward patient care. The focus of the program is in widening the debates and the active engagement of the audience, in order to identify and clarify all the problematic generated from practice.
The activity by the theme “Challenges of treating patients with chronic renal disease in hemodialysis” was held on September 17 2017 at the Tirana International Hotel premises. It was organized with the participation of professors and doctors of the Nephrology Service of the Mother Theresa University Medical Center and the Albanian Nephrology Society, and was financed by Diavita sh.p.k. for further education.

From the evaluation form submitted on to 220 participants, mainly nephrologists, pathologist doctors and nurse staff that serve in hemodialysis departments. Above 95% of them evaluated excellent the professional presentation of all the lecturers and their latest works.
This activity was accredited by the National Center of Education with 6 (six) credits for passive participants and 12 (twelve) credits for active participants.
